Expertise is passed on – and so is a mindset!

At Lagache, passing on knowledge is a team effort. Let us tell you about it:
Together, we have developed our Strategic Compass. It helps us know where we’re going, why and how. It provides a shared framework based on four values that we embody every day: Innovation, Commitment, Trust and Performance.
For us, passing on our expertise is also about the way we work together.
✔️ Recruitment: a crucial step
The process of passing on knowledge begins right from recruitment, because to pass something on, you need someone ready to receive it. Beyond skills, we look for people who share our values, who are committed to our roadmap and who want to contribute to it.
✔️ Focusing on induction
At Lagache, we would never just throw someone in at the deep end to see if they can swim!
Every new recruit benefits from a personalised induction programme: getting to know the company, an introduction to our guiding principles, meetings with the teams, and learning our working methods.
Their manager supports them with regular check-ins to make adjustments where necessary. Taking this time at the start saves time later on.
✔️ Supporting commitment and performance
We encourage long-term skills development: sharing knowledge, giving feedback, listening, working as a team and helping people progress are all part of our management style.
This translates into opportunities for progression: an order picker can become a sales representative, and a role can also take on greater scope thanks to the results achieved by the person in that role.
✔️ A vision, a clear framework and established practices
At Lagache, we talk to one another and know where we’re heading: objectives, regular discussions, reporting… We’re allowed to disagree, but we talk it through. Simple, regular communication helps us stay aligned.
Team spirit is essential: mutual support and collective dynamism take precedence over individual competition.
Commitment is also fostered through rituals: sales successes, the Épiphanie cake, Christmas, births, birthdays or the World Cup… any occasion is a good excuse to get together.
Finally, the Works Council contributes to this dynamic: gauging the company’s mood, raising issues and anticipating tensions as much as possible.
At Lagache, we do not claim to have found the perfect formula, but one that reflects who we are, with conviction and authenticity.
We are convinced of one thing: kindness and high standards are not mutually exclusive. They go hand in hand in the pursuit of individual and collective performance.
Passing on knowledge does not mean losing what we know. It means enabling the whole team to perform better together.
