End-of-year interviews: a time to settle down, listen to each other and stay aligned
08 January 2026
At Lagache, the end of the year is not just about the excitement of the festive season. It’s also a special time to talk, listen and check that we’re still heading in the same direction, together.
Because sustainable performance depends on fulfilled, committed men and women, end-of-year interviews are an integral part of the Lagache culture.
A well-established ritual
There is, of course, the professional interview, a compulsory meeting every two years, which is highly structured… but it doesn’t tell the whole story.
For us, the most important thing is the annual interview. It’s a moment that both employee and manager look forward to and prepare for. It’s a real breathing space, away from the operational side of things, where you can step back and say things freely, in confidence and constructively.
Three inseparable pillars
These interviews are based on three essential pillars of equal importance, even if their weighting varies from one function to another:
✅ numbers
✅ qualitative aspects
✅ team cohesion
The common thread? A mission statement drawn up jointly during the previous interview, which serves as a common frame of reference throughout the year.
Taking stock… and looking at the big picture
The interview begins with a review of the past year. The employee shares what they have achieved and what they are proud of, the difficulties they have encountered, what they may not have been able to complete, and the adjustments they have made along the way.
The manager then provides feedback, in a spirit of dialogue and continuous progress. For sales teams, the objectives are proposed by the employees themselves, then validated or adjusted together.
A place to talk about “how I’m doing”.
Beyond the results, the interview is also a space for more personal expression: how I feel in the company, how I experience my day-to-day professional life.
Even if communication is good throughout the year, this dedicated time allows you to get away from the action and talk about personal fulfilment, frustrations, work/life balance or any other subject that is useful for a better work life.
At Lagache, we are convinced that performance depends on individual and collective fulfilment. It’s in this climate of trust that we discuss the year in review, the roadmap for the future, desires for development, training needs, remuneration and also all the things we don’t always talk about on a day-to-day basis.
A state of mind that reflects who we are
These interviews reflect our values: commitment, trust, performance and innovation. It’s a key moment for helping employees to grow, in the interests of sustainable performance.
It’s with this great collective energy that we begin the year, with the aim of going from strength to strength, together!
