About us : Delphine, sales and accounting assistant

27 January 2025

For a year now, we’ve been introducing you to our professions and, above all, to the men and women who do them. Today, Delphine, sales and accounting assistant, is in the spotlight!

Delphine has been with Lagache for 28 years and her smile is as radiant as ever! Here’s her story:

Once she had passed her baccalaureate in accounting, Delphine arrived in the F&V sector at the M.I.N. in Lomme, by chance, after responding to an advertisement. Mrs Lagache contacted her straight away, and she started work 48 hours later. Things don’t take long with Delphine 😉
At first, she looked after the accounts. Her interpersonal skills were quickly noticed, and she was soon in charge of the “cash desk”.

When Delphine talks about her job, the social aspect comes first. ” I love the contact with customers, even if they wear me out. We get to know each other and follow each other’s lives. I’m also responsible for reconciling the sales people’s vouchers with my cash receipts, managing discrepancies, sending invoices to customers, monitoring payments, reminders and credit notes “. Delphine explains that the social aspect is becoming more and more important in her job: she is the ” good listener “, has learned to distinguish between different things, and knows how to alert her superiors if an exception needs to be managed or an insurance claim launched. Once a month, Delphine meets with the sales team. ” We take stock of invoicing/settlements, we get our act together, so things run smoothly between us and with the customer. We make decisions together, and we’re all pulling in the same direction “.

  • What’s changed since she arrived: her job has changed, governance has changed, life has changed! ” I started out with the Minitel! Today, I’ve found my place, I get more recognition, I’m given more responsibilities and I like that. My role is valued, I have a place in the company and with seniority, I know them all, we’ve grown up together “.
  • What she loves about her job: life on the tile. ” I need customer contact. I need to be in contact with people, to manage different things, that’s my adrenalin. It’s my adrenalin. So I’m happy, even if I do grumble “, she says with a sense of humour.
  • The most important thing for her is to make sure that everything goes smoothly with the customers, to create a good relationship and a climate of trust, and to ensure that there are no problems. “It’ s thanks to them that we’re here, ” she says.
  • We’re a great team, we have a great atmosphere, it’s my2nd family. We’re considered from the smallest to the highest. Relations are excellent and calm, and I’ll be here right to the end!

See you soon to find out more about our business and another member of our team!
