The collective is key to the success of the company, whether on strategic or operational issues. The collective is everywhere, at every level of the company. Wherever it is, it can generate value. Experience is priceless, and neither is giving your professional life to a company.
Christophe Kessili and Thierry Hennebel have a combined 73 years’ experience and commitment to Lagache! 43 years for Christophe and 30 years for Thierry.
Christophe, spotted by Nicole Lagache in 1981, started out as a “commis” and worked his way up throughout his career. He has actively contributed to the success of LAGACHE’s fruit department, making it one of the benchmarks at the Lomme wholesale market.
Thierry, for his part, after some fifteen years’ experience in shipping vegetables at the market gardening cooperative and then in clock purchases, was poached in 1994 by Guy LAGACHE, who put him in charge of the vegetable department. Like his fruit counterpart, he has successfully developed his department.
For years, both have been training younger people, assisting them and soon replacing them. There’s no generation gap at Lagache, just a passion for passing on a job that’s not so simple.
Their professional adventure will come to an end for both of them on 31 December!
Their respective careers are those that every company director dreams of for their employees. The year 2024 will mark the start of a new life for them, and for us a new life without them!
Of course, life goes on, but what do you do when 2 mainstays leave at the same time?… It puts pressure on you… It’s all right: you can prepare for what comes next! At Lagache, we think ahead 😉
Welcome Victor and Jean-Benoît!
Victor Chombart, 27, joined the fruit team in March. Originally from Picardy and with a farming background, he already had a number of commercial experiences in Australia and Ireland before returning to France. When I interviewed him, I liked him and I wanted to trust him, but he knew nothing about the MIN environment! To make your mark in this wholesale market, where everyone has known each other since the dawn of time, you have to be pugnacious! And that’s just what he’s got. He quickly won the confidence of this ‘big family’! What’s more, a fresh pair of eyes, untainted by all the good and bad habits of the closed environment of the MIN, is a good thing, it can shake things up!
Jean-Benoît, known as JB, 52, joined the vegetable team in September. Also from the farming world, he has 16 years’ experience in sales at the MIN. He is a benchmark on the vegetable market. Known as the ‘white wolf’, thanks to his dynamism, professionalism and seriousness, his first few weeks at LAGACHE have been a real success!
Well, this cocktail of youth and new ideas, mixed with experience and knowledge of the market environment, is very rich and very promising! It’s a natural fit with the rest of the team!
Christophe, Thierry, THANK YOU AND BRAVO for your loyalty and your career, we’ll miss you!
