Taste Week

13 October 2026

What if we talked about taste? 🍎🍐🍇

For Taste Week, we wanted to get back to what really matters.

Because before a fruit or vegetable becomes a reference, a size grade, an origin or a line on a purchase order, it is first and foremost a colour, a smell, a texture… and a taste!

🌱 At Lagache, what drives us every day is our mission to be “ambassadors of sustainable and responsible food happiness.”

And the word happiness is no coincidence.

😋 Taste: an essential part of the pleasure of eating

Biting into a crisp, juicy apple, rediscovering the aroma of a ripe tomato, the sweetness of a pear or the tangy notes of a citrus fruit… 🍊

Taste engages our senses, but also our memories and emotions. It brings pleasure, sparks curiosity and sometimes even surprises us.

It is also what makes us want to come back to a product, discover something new… and put more fruit and vegetables on our plates.

🔎 Great taste starts with sourcing

For us, product quality is about much more than appearance.

Good sourcing means knowing our products, understanding the seasons and building relationships with growers. It means paying close attention to ripeness, freshness and flavour… while also knowing how to select the right product to meet the expectations of our customers and consumers.

Whether on the wholesale market floor or in our dispatch department, this expertise is an integral part of what we do.

Because a great-looking product should deliver on its promise when it reaches the plate.

✨ Pleasure and responsibility go hand in hand 🌱

Celebrating flavour also means showing greater respect for the product: its seasonality, its origin and the hard work of the people who grow it.

That is precisely what our mission is all about: helping people enjoy good food while making more sustainable and responsible choices.

So, this Taste Week, we have just one invitation: look, smell, touch, taste… and take the time to savour every bite! 😋
