Kévin, a committed producer in the heart of Hauts-de-France

🍅 For Kévin, tomatoes are a family affair.
A grower from father to son, he grew up in Belgium, surrounded by tomato and salad crops. Very early on, he developed a keen eye, a passion for the product… and the desire to go further.
In 2018, Kévin and his wife Lies made a bold choice: to cross the border and set up in the north of France, in Arques. On 13 hectares, he built his greenhouses and launched his tomato production.
Why this choice?
Because there was an opportunity. A real “hole in the wall”: there are no glasshouse tomato growers in the area.
And he knows French consumers well: Made in France makes sense.
A year later, the whole family (his wife and two children) moved to Arques. The adventure could really begin.
At the start, there was just one variety: the round cluster tomato.
But Kévin soon expanded his range. Cherry tomatoes in bunches, bunches in bulk with mixed colours, fleshy tomatoes, heirloom varieties… Today, almost 10 years later, demand is high.
Its common thread?
👉 Quality and taste above all else.
Its produce comes from farms certified to High Environmental Value level 3, the highest level, a guarantee of respectful and demanding agriculture.
To structure his offer and create a point of reference for customers and consumers, Kévin launched his own brand 3 years ago: Cœur en Or.
It’s a name that reflects him, and invites you to discover all the richness of his varieties.
But Kévin’s commitment doesn’t stop there.
His farm also plays a major role in the region: all the teams are local, from the Hauts-de-France region. 38 people work here all year round, rising to 80 at peak times. A tangible economic and human impact.
The collaboration with the Lagache Expedition teams around Coeur en Or tomatoes is recent, but the relationship has been solid for a long time, particularly with Xavier Martin. It’s a story of trust… and a passion for the product.
