Close to the ground with Scachap Leclerc

Many thanks to Scachap for organising and inviting us to the annual exhibition in Ruffec. It was a great opportunity to meet and exchange ideas.

This event is a privileged moment for our teams. It gives us the opportunity to meet our contacts in charge of purchasing at the central purchasing office, as well as the managers of the Leclerc centres belonging to this SCA.

For the Lagache Expedition team, these meetings are invaluable: “They enable us to build closer relationships with the shops, to better understand their expectations and to share our perspectives so that we can continue to work well together”, explains Victor Luchart, Vegetables Manager.

“During the discussions, we were able to take stock of the past year. Having the opportunity to talk with shop managers is essential for taking the temperature of consumer needs, getting feedback on products and finding out what is required in terms of formats and packaging. It’s also an opportunity for us to present our new products”, says Victor.

The discussions focused in particular on ratatouille vegetables, red fruit, pears from the Benelux countries, as well as our entire Origine France range: endives, celery, cabbage and Brussels sprouts.
While Lagache stands out for its demanding sourcing policy, it is just as essential for us to keep in constant touch with consumers and retail professionals. Understanding product trends and expectations in terms of packaging and supply enables us to offer the right balance between quality, choice and service.
