Her story at Lagache began 5 years ago. Frédérique arrived at the same time as Xavier, and with good reason: they are husband and wife! “Xavier wanted to take over a company and share the adventure with me,” she says.
Before that, Frédérique already had a great deal of experience in IT. She had also been fully involved for several years in the voluntary sector as treasurer, a role in which she thrived.
What a stroke of luck! The position of RAF at Lagache became available – it had previously been held by Guy Lagache’s wife, Fabienne.
Everything just fell into place. Why not make finance her profession?
She had confidence in the takeover project, in Xavier’s ability to manage the business and in their partnership to achieve a successful work/life balance. And what could be better, when you’re taking over a company, than to have total confidence in your CFO? That’s how his story at Lagache began.
The courage to dare
At first, Frédérique wondered whether she would be up to the job. But this was the job where she felt she really belonged. “I like analysing, taking time to think, setting up and simplifying processes, and being calm behind my desk. As we’re a small organisation, the job is varied, and also involves HR, which I really enjoy. For example, I helped set up the CSE.
What drives her day-to-day
Frédérique has a real appetite for figures and rigour, but above all she cultivates a positive state of mind. Her close relationship with each member of the company is genuine and straightforward. Every morning, her first reflex is not to open an Excel spreadsheet, but to spread her smile – radiant in all weathers – to her colleagues. Empathetic and a good listener, she knows how to make herself available and actively participates in the good company climate, with a laugh that’s always ready to burst out!
With her, there’s no fear of the RAF!
The collective above all
She also enjoys being part of the management committee: “thinking, deciding together, contributing to strategy”.
“What’s changed since I joined? My doubts have disappeared: I feel at ease and fully justified in supporting the company’s development”.
“I’m really happy to get up in the morning and come to work,” she says. “The atmosphere is excellent. We love coming to work and meeting up. The teams are very dynamic and there are great prospects for career development. I’m delighted!
At Lagache, Frédérique has found much more than a job: she has found a team where confidence and enthusiasm are combined every day.
