🍇 At Lagache, grapes are EXTRA or nothing!

05 September 2025

Grapes are a key product for us. The way we work with them is a perfect illustration of our strategy, built around a solid, virtuous axis: quality, innovation and CSR.
Today, we’re launching our campaign with Italia grapes! We’d like to take this opportunity to tell you all about our approach.

🎯 Our ambition

To be the experts in beauty and goodness, offering Extra, from the first to the last day of the season, with no concessions.

🔑 Our strategy

  • Demanding specifications: cluster size, Brix level, taste, colour, Global GAP, social and environmental certifications.
  • On-the-ground sourcing: identifying the best terroirs, selecting producers who share our guiding principles, building solid, virtuous partnerships.
  • Ongoing quality control: regular feedback on deliveries, visits to producers once or twice a year to gain a detailed understanding of the challenges facing each basin and to act as their ambassadors to our customers.
  • Our guiding principle is not to be the first to launch the season, but to be the first in terms of taste. This is only possible thanks to the mutual trust we have developed with our producers.

📍 Our Italian grape

Our grapes come from 2 regions: Sicily and Puglia. Our presence in these different regions gives us the flexibility to manage changes in terroir, varieties and weather conditions, while guaranteeing continuity of flavour.

We offer three varieties, all EXTRA, delivered direct to the grower:

  • Vittoria, which opens the campaign, is a must-have, recognisable by its golden colour and oblong grain.
  • Italia, a later variety with a refined, unique taste that is also gilded
  • Pink and white seedless grapes that we work with the pioneer of this variety, which continues to innovate and develop.

These partnerships, built up over the last 4 years, are now robust and virtuous. Our producers know what we expect. They know our requirements. They guide us on the best time and place to harvest.

📍 Our French grape

We’ve been working with French grapes for years and have the same approach.

Among our proudest achievements:

  • Suffolk: a “niche” variety produced in Moissac: small pink seeds with an exceptional and original taste reminiscent of sweets.
  • Our Muscat AOP du Mont Ventoux, with its remarkable typicity.

🤝 A win-win dynamic for everyone

At Lagache, we work hand in hand with our producers. This relationship of trust and listening creates value for everyone: producers, customers, consumers… and enables us to finish the season in mid-December with consistent quality.

Enjoy your meal!
